We are celebrating the 20th anniversary of our Temple Campus Food Pantry by “doubling the mitzvah” and partnering in another pantry, this one to feed the homeless. Much like its counterpart at the Temple Campus, the Santa Monica Pantry, Ocean Park Community Center, will operate every Sunday and we need you - particularly “Westsiders” to volunteer.
Who:
- Congregants from ages 5 to 95
Grade School through High School: a great community service project!
- Bar & Bat Mitzvah-to-be: a super tikkun olam project!
- Parents of Sunday Religious School students: terrific opportunity to do a mitzvah while your kids are at Irmas or at Camp!
- Adults who care: no better way to do "first-hand" helping for those who need it most.
What:
- Assembling sandwiches, lunch bags, drinks; handing them to clients
When:
- Every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. - noon Beginning on Sunday, September 7. The Santa Monica Pantry is EVERY Sunday without end despite the calendar automatically listing it month-to-month
