Welcome to the Family
Our clergy are delighted to welcome our youngest Wilshire Boulevard Temple members into our community by helping expectant or new parents choose Hebrew names.
For families welcoming sons, our staff can recommend a mohel, and clergy make every effort to attend the home b’rit milah ceremony on the eighth day. The Temple also provides naming ceremonies for boys whose circumcisions did not occur on the eighth day.
For families welcoming daughters, we offer naming ceremonies. Most families find it convenient to have them during the relatively brief Kabbalat Shabbat services held at either the Glazer* or Irmas Campus on Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

*Our historic campus, formerly known as the Temple Campus, was recently renamed the Erika J. Glazer Family Campus of Wilshire Boulevard Temple. Read more here.
