Curriculum

Brawerman Elementary School

Students participate in a rich, diverse, sequential curriculum that offers instruction in language arts, math, science, Judaic Studies, Hebrew, technology, fine arts, physical education and library, with an eye to expanding their minds. Academic programs are guided by California State Standards emphasizing the introduction, practice and mastery of salient skills and the exposure to a particular body of core knowledge. The ability to use and evaluate knowledge through critical and independent thinking supports the goal of helping students seek and understand connections between ideas in their studies. We believe that competence and confidence are related, and through planned lessons and experimentation students acquire both. When needed, additional support for individual students is provided by a Resource Specialist and School Counselor. For detailed information, visit our curriculum page >>
