Here for discovery
Unlocking new perspectives
Blending ancient Jewish wisdom with contemporary relevance, we transform learning into an adventure that’s both practical and inspiring. By exploring new veiwpoints, we uncover fresh possibilities for life, finding meaning in the mundane and elevating our experience of the everyday.
Here for growth
Expanding through transformative experiences
We facilitate a personalized journey into Jewish living, empowering each of us to become our best selves through the application of Jewish values in every area of life. Supporting our unique development, we are guided to navigate life’s stages with purpose and clarity, always striving to improve.
Here for community
Building the bonds that matter most
Recognizing that there are as many ways to be Jewish as there are Jewish people, we support and celebrate one another, honoring our differences and finding common ground in our mutual care. We find our place in the world by being of service to it and our place with each other by living our shared traditions.
Here for life
At every age and every stage, we’re here through all of life’s most important moments, the cheerful and the challenging. Whether you’re welcoming new arrivals, celebrating rites of passage, or serving the people around you, experience the blessings of lifelong learning, connection, and care.
Baby & Me
Our Baby and Me program offers a variety of classes for children from birth to three years old, each designed to enhance your child’s development through play, creativity, and physical activity. These engaging experiences promote bonding and growth, laying the foundation for a bright and joyful future.
Schools & Camps
Our schools provide a top-tier Jewish-based education, from early childhood through elementary and religious schooling, preparing children for successful, civic-minded futures. Our camps fill the summer with arts, crafts, sports, and activities that encourage creativity and collaboration, allowing our children to thrive in a nurturing Jewish community.
B'nei Mitzvah
Becoming a B’nei Mitzvah is a personal evolution into Jewish adulthood, guided by learning and supported by clergy every step of the way. With three campuses, families can prepare and celebrate close to home. From the first lesson to the final blessing, discover commitment that helps your whole family feel confident and complete.
Shabbat
Our music-driven Friday night services blend live instruments, poetry, and prayer into an emotional experience that stays with you all week. We offer gatherings for kids, teens, and adults so everyone can welcome Shabbat in a way that feels like home.
Youth Engagement
The Center for Youth Engagement is Wilshire’s hub for Jewish learning beyond the classroom. From TK through Grade 12, students connect with peers and mentors, step into leadership, and explore Jewish identity through experiences designed to grow with them.
Tikkun Olam
Tikkun Olam is woven into everything we do. We feed the hungry, stand for justice, and build partnerships that bring hope and dignity across Los Angeles and beyond. From mitzvah days to youth-led projects, kids and teens turn care into action.
Affinity Groups
Affinity Groups bring people together through common interests, life stages, and passions. In these smaller circles, you’ll find camaraderie, meaning, and opportunities to explore Jewish life in ways that feel personal. Join a group that reflects your world and discover the power of shared journeys.
Lifelong Learning
Learning is a lifelong journey that unfolds with time. We explore Jewish wisdom, wrestle with enduring questions, engage ancient texts in new ways, and discover how learning shapes our lives in every season. Embrace learning as a practice that deepens with time, sparking growth, wonder, and transformation for every season.
Adult B'nei Mitzvah
We believe Judaism isn’t only inherited, it’s chosen. Conversion is one of the most beautiful expressions of that choice, offering a chance to make Jewish values a part of your personal story.
Programs & Events
From docent-led museum tours to citywide celebrations, Temple life stretches across Los Angeles and beyond. Wherever we gather, every event weaves people closer through discovery and shared experience.
Holidays & Festivals
More than a list of dates, the Jewish calendar comes to life at Wilshire as a cycle of joy and reflection. Each holiday becomes a doorway into connection, celebration, and song, drawing our community together in every season.
