Interior Sanctuary

Locations

From the early days to now, Wilshire Boulevard Temple has stood as the spiritual home to tens of thousands of area families seeking lifelong learning, Jewish connection, and enduring friendships within a congregation that encourages every person to make a difference. We have three locations to serve our communities: the historic Erika J Glazer Family Campus in Wilshire Center/Koreatown, our modern Audrey and Sydney Irmas Campus in west Los Angeles, and our inviting Resnick Family Campus in Brentwood. All campuses offer services and worship, adult programs, life cycle events, volunteer, and social action opportunities, as well as cultural and educational events. Many of our cultural activities are open to the wider public.

In addition, Wilshire Boulevard Temple Camps and The Steve Breuer Conference Center in northern Malibu is the home of Camp Hess Kramer and Gindling Hilltop Camp, a classic summer experience that has existed for more than 65 years. The camps and conference center are active throughout the year with special events, life cycle events, retreats for schools, and other non-profit organizations.

Erika J Glazer Family Campus

Occupying an entire city block within Wilshire Boulevard and Sixth Street, Hobart, and Harvard Boulevards, this campus is the site of our Byzantine-revival Sanctuary building, completed in 1929 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Glazer Campus is now home to the Erika J Glazer Early Childhood Center, Brawerman Elementary School East, and Edgar F. Magnin Religious School. In addition to a weekly food pantry, we operate the Karsh Family Social Service Center, which offers the surrounding community free dental care, vision care, mental health services, legal aid, and English language services.

Wilshire Boulevard Temple Camps &
Steve Breuer Conference Center

Set in the spectacular canyons and cliffs of Malibu, our camps are a community service to Jewish families from across California and the West.

Camp Hess Kramer and Gindling Hilltop Camp each offers a unique camp experience, with sessions for kids from Grade 3 to Grade 9, and special sessions focused on leadership skills for students entering Grade 10. The Camps are used for other Temple functions, as well, and are available for rental use by other organizations.

Camp Hess Kramer

Situated on 120 acres of a tree-lined canyon that ends at a Pacific Ocean beach, offers extensive facilities, including spacious halls, athletic fields, an arts center, pool, modern cabins, a challenging ropes course, and climbing wall. The exceptional setting also provides elective activities, including surfing and scuba diving. In service since 1952, Camp Kramer is home to over 200 campers each session. A huge landmark menorah overlooking the beach serves as a powerful, calming counterpoint to the bustling activities of Camp. The camp grounds are currently closed due to the 2018 Woolsey Fire. #CampNeverStops and continues to operate out of a temporary summer home at Buckhorn Camp in Idyllwild, California.

Gildling Hilltop

Gindling Hilltop Camp

Straddles a commanding ridge high above the Pacific, with spectacular mountaintop views. A more intimate facility for up to 120 campers, Gindling provides an awesome beauty that serves as a constant reminder of our place on Earth, with an open-air Brotherhood Chapel, 750 feet above the beach. The camp grounds are currently closed due to the 2018 Woolsey Fire. #CampNeverStops and continues to operate out of a temporary summer home at Buckhorn Camp in Idyllwild, California.

Steve Breuer Conference Center

A modern facility with overnight hotel-quality accommodations that provides an idyllic retreat for adult events year-round.

Used by the Temple for special programs, the Conference Center is available for organizational use, with an outstanding range of guest facilities from superior rooms, various meeting halls, the camp's athletic facilities, excellent chef's creations...and of course, the Pacific Ocean's beaches just steps away. The Steve Breuer Conference Center in Malibu is currently unavailable for other non-profit organizations and schools for conferences and events.
