Tisha B'Av: A Time for Mourning and Healing

Tisha B'Av (the 9th of Av) is the Jewish day of Mourning, set aside each year as a time for our global Jewish community to mourn a long and arduous history of pain, destruction, disappointment, and loss.

This commemoration consists of a 24-hour fast, and is marked by communal gatherings during which we hear the words of the Book of Lamentations, and take some time to sit together in the pain associated with collective and personal pain.

On the evening of Wednesday, July 29 at 8:30 p.m., please join Rabbis Joel Nickerson, Beau Shapiro, and Cantor Lisa Peicott for a moving and meaningful recognition of this important Jewish holiday. Especially given what the world has experienced over the course of this year, we hope you can join us to mark this moment.
