Midrash & Merlot with Cantor Peicott
The study of Torah provides a table where women add their voices to the record from which our ancient Israelite sisters were mostly kept in silence. Pour yourself a glass of wine and join Cantor Lisa Peicott in studying the Midrashim (rabbinic interpretive commentary) of some of the Torah's most well known, but oftentimes most silent female characters from the book of Genesis. During this 4-week course, we will study traditional midrashim, modern feminist interpretations, and perhaps even create our own version of HERstory.
