Los Angeles Vigil for Tree of Life
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2018 AT 6:00 P.M.
FEDERAL BUILDING
11000 WILSHIRE BOULEVARD
West Los Angeles
The Jewish community and our family, friends, and supporters of all faiths and cultures are coming together tonight (Sunday, October 28) at 6 p.m. at the Westwood Federal Building on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue in West Los Angeles. Wilshire Boulevard Temple is one of many temples and organizations involved.
It is good in these moments of grief and outrage to come together as a community. We come together to commit to making the memory of those who have been murdered a blessing.
We join this vigil not to create further political divisions but to stand with respect and dignity as a community to honor the lives of those who died. In doing so, we renew our commitment to stand against anti-Semitism and violence against humanity in any form.
Etz Chaim, The Tree of Life. Our Torah, Jewish teachings and values. We hold them close and we let them guide the work of our hearts and our hands to make a better world.
Please bring a candle for the candlelight vigil.
