The Film Society will discuss Guest of Honor on Saturday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m. This dramatic and engaging story of a father and daughter leapfrogs through several years in their life together. Essentially it is an examination of love and the damage that good souls do to themselves with a burden of guilt they assume for events not in their control. Stream the film on Amazon Prime and join the discussion with Jim Ruxin.
Jim Ruxin, a longtime University Synagogue member and Adjunct Professor at USC School of Cinematic Arts, will curate the films and host our in-depth discussions. The Film Society will present a wide variety of meaningful domestic and International films about Jewish subjects and Jewish values.
Watch these important, thought-provoking films in advance and join us for an in-depth discussion with Jim Ruxin and Rabbi Susan Nanus.
