Libations & Learning Featuring Donna and Adele Nadel

Take a walk back in time as Donna Nadel, our Wilshire Boulevard Temple Executive Director, talks with her mother-in-law, Adele "Sunny" Nadel, community activist, feminist, a real life "Norma Rae". Born in 1926, Adele has lived almost her entire 96 years in Beverly Hills. Vowing to make a difference, Adele helped found the Maple Center and broke glass ceilings in the entertainment industry without a college education. With questions from Donna, Adele will regale us with personal stories of old-time Hollywood, Beverly Hills "then and now", antisemitism, feminism, life, love, and family through almost a century living in Los Angeles. There will be time to ask questions after the dialogue.
