The Big Give on 6th Street

A favorite annual event, the Big Give is a special day of community, caring, and fun. For the last ten years on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, volunteers have prepared and distributed 1,000 Thanksgiving-meals-in-a-bag to families and individuals in Koreatown facing hunger, helping all members of our community prepare for Thanksgiving.

This year, the Karsh Center and Wilshire Boulevard Temple are excited to host this special day for our neighbors and families in Koreatown, taking the event to 6th Street and transforming the Big Give into a vibrant resource and family activity fair for all!

Thanksgiving-in-a-bag for a family of four will still be a cornerstone of the day, but we are excited to share so much more for families and individuals to enjoy: arts and crafts activities, live performances, food, resources from our social service Collaborators, wellness activities, and more.
