Jack Miles, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, MacArthur Genius grant recipient, and editor of The Norton Anthology of World Religions, discusses his latest book, Religion As We Know It: An Origin Story. The book addresses two central questions: What is religion as we know it? And how have we come to separate religion from secular life in contemporary culture? In search of answers, he turns to history.
