Please join us for a very special fall/winter speaker series featuring Dr. Saba Soomekh, Adjunct Professor at UCLA, who will deliver the third of four lectures on World Religions.

Hinduism
Unlike most religious traditions, Hinduism does not have a human founder. How did this religious tradition develop? What do Hindus believe? We will discuss the main Hindu deities and their significance in the everyday life of a practicing Hindu as well as the influence of the Islamic religious tradition on Hinduism; the partition of India and Pakistan; the exporting of Hinduism in America and Hindu Gurus in the west. We will serve a delicious dinner of Indian food.
