Managing Your Authorized Drivers

A better way for you to manage your authorization of drivers and for our security team and staff to access information on your authorized drivers is now available through The Hub, our Parent Portal. 

For families that previously entered authorized driver information in your Magnus Vital Health Record during previous school years and prior to August 16, 2019, your information has been transferred for you into your HUB Portal Profile.  If your information has been transferred, please follow the directions below and verify the information or update it.

Our security detail, faculty, and school administrators have access to view your authorized drivers. This information is not visible to other parents. 

As a reminder, your PRIMARY family and student profiles – your names, email, phones, street addresses, households, and other personal information continue to be maintained in MySchoolApp, which is our student information systems. The contact information in MySchoolApp automatically synchronizes every 60 minutes with our Parent Portal. If your information OTHER THAN authorized drivers is correct and up-to-date in MySchoolApp, it will be up-to-date in your Parent Portal Profile without you having to take any additional action. 

What follows here are instructions to show you where and how to add or edit Authorized Driver information at any time throughout the school year. Please note that families with children in the Early Childhood Centers are still required by state licensing requirements to maintain a signed update emergency information card.

Step 1 - Login to The Hub as usual

 

Step 2 - Select Profile from the dropdown menu under your name

 

 

 

 

 

Step 3 - A pop-up window, "Update Your Profile," will open. Scroll down to bottom portion of this pop-up window to see the "Authorized Driver" fields.
 
Step 4: Enter or Edit information: Simply type the NAME, GENDER, MOBILE PHONE, RELATIONSHIP, AND, IF AVAILABLE, EMAIL ADDRESS of your Authorized Drivers.  

 

You can maintain up to 4 Authorized Drivers here in the Portal Profile. Because updates are near real-time, you can always add or delete drivers during the year. If you must maintain more than 4 authorized drivers throughout the year, please maintain your 4 PRIMARY drivers here and contact the school office to make arrangements to provide and maintain additional. 

Optional: You can also your own primary car's license plate and the sticker number provided. 

 
Step 5 - Click "Update Profile" to save and finish.

Once the authorized person is listed (complete with phone number), she/he can request a sticker at the front security booth upon entering if needed.

A final reminder about the other fields: information displayed in these fields all comes from your profile in MySchoolApp. Anything that you want or need to edit must be done in MySchoolApp. There is a separate set of instructions to guide you on how to manage your contact card. The only fields you should edit here on the Hub are the ones for Car and Authorized Drivers.
