Position Overview

The Event Media Technician will coordinate daily technical operations and media production of meetings, programs and special events, as well as provide supplemental support for large scale event production taking place at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate all audio/visual technical needs for meetings, programs and special events for clients in a manner that furthers the Audrey Irmas Pavilion’s mission statement.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors regarding event specifications and coordinate all audio/visual requests per event plan.
  • Schedule and oversee the set-up, execution, and breakdown of audio/visual equipment for meetings, programs, and special events.
  • Develop relationships with vendors, support teams, on site caterer to ensure streamlined communication and successful execution of each event.
  • Translate complex technological jargon into simple terms for now technical staff.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance of in-house lighting, audio, video equipment.
  • Work evening and weekend hours as needed to facilitate special events and provide back-up assistance.

    
Specific Requirements

  • College or Technical degree desirable, media arts or related fields.
  • Two or more years of significant experience with AV equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to interact appropriately with diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
