Audrey Irmas Pavilion, January 2020 Virtual Tour

Hello,

It is an exciting time at the Glazer Campus! Not only from the buzz of activity in our schools and programs, but also from the daily construction progress taking place at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion.

The steel structure is complete, as are the fire proofing of the structural steel, pouring of the concrete floors on every level, installation of all rough mechanical systems, all interior demising walls, and the exterior scaffolding needed to begin work on the building’s remarkable façade.

You can now feel the volume, size and shape of the Grand Ballroom, one of the most impressive spaces of its type in our city. The multi-purpose room and chapel with its adjacent exterior terrace oriented towards the sanctuary is both dramatic and inspiring, and the roof terrace with its sunken garden, grove of 16 olive trees and planters provides a view of the city and Hollywood Hills to both reflect and celebrate. And to top it off, we are on schedule and on budget!

In the coming months, you will see the interior staircases being installed, waterproofing throughout the exterior of the building, installation of drywall and of the exterior façade along with many more components.

Due to the multitude of trades now on site, our aggressive construction schedule and above all safety concerns, the opportunity to be on site is extremely limited. Therefore, in order for you to see the construction progress, we have prepared this virtual tour of the site with MATT construction’s Julie Wietecha and Kevin Halverson. In it, they take you through the current highlights of the building as if you are there.

For those of you who would like additional information about being a part of this dream coming true for our congregation and the city we all love, please contact Jamie Geller at jgeller@wbtla.org.

Warm regards,
