We would like to proudly congratulate Rebecca (Bec) Moray, one of our exceptional kindergarten teachers, who today was honored with the prestigious 2024 Milken Jewish Educator Award, an honor only given to four Jewish Day School teachers from the Los Angeles area this year. This recognition highlights Bec’s remarkable dedication to enriching her students' educational experiences through innovative and holistic teaching methods.
Bec Moray’s classroom is a vibrant environment where Jewish values, social-emotional learning, and multidisciplinary lessons intersect. Her passion for science is evident in her creative approach to education. From interactive Rosh Hashanah lessons on bees to hands-on explorations of Jewish concepts like ethical resource use through the KinderGARDEN, Bec ensures that her students not only learn but also embody the principles of renewal and sustainability.
As a member of the instructional leadership team and a key contributor to STEAM nights, Bec’s influence extends beyond her classroom, inspiring both her peers and her students. Her unique ability to make learning engaging and meaningful has earned her this well-deserved recognition.
