Many Ways to Be Jewish
Expand your horizons by participating in one, many, or all of our diverse adult programming opportunities.
Our Next Event
Words and Writers
Words and Writers is an adult program that brings well-known authors to Wilshire Boulevard Temple to speak about their latest books and is always followed by book sales, book signings, and a reception.
Among the authors who have participated in this program are Malcolm Gladwell, Bernard-Henri Levy, Mitch Albom, Krista Tippet, Reza Aslan, Steve Ross, former U.S. Ambassador Dennis Ross, and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
Wisdom, Beliefs, and Thoughts
Wisdom, Beliefs, and Thoughts is our adult education program at Wilshire Boulevard Temple.
Under its mantle we offer classes in Jewish thought and history in our Thinking and Being Jewish series, an in-depth study series with guest rabbis on Jewish viewpoints in our L.A. Rabbis Teach series, Torah study, a conversion course, holiday seminars and Adult B’nei Mitzvah.
If you are interested in learning more about your rich, Jewish heritage, we invite you to join us for any of our programs.
Films and Filmmakers
Films and Filmmakers is a Wilshire Boulevard Temple program that presents film screenings of new and timely Jewish films, often accompanied by the director or producer of the film.
Many of these films cannot be seen anywhere else in Los Angeles, and we are proud to offer them at no cost to our congregants and the Jewish community at large.
